With current targets for the UK to be net carbon by 2050, now is the time to take action and make a difference. Gwent Energy CIC have been installing renewables and helping people, communities and small businesses benefit since 2008. We have funded 200kW of solar and 100kW of biomass for community buildings in some of the hardest-hit areas of Wales.

South Wales - Electric Vehicle Charge Points
Many homeowners in Wales lack off-road parking, so how will they recharge their vehicles?
With electric vehicle ownership on the rise, and Wales with a limited number of charge points, we have the opportunity right now for community-owned charge points.
Gwent Energy CIC already has a number of public charge points around Monmouthshire since 2015, and we’ve watched a steady increase in usage each year.
We want to provide vehicle charging for community groups, e.g Meals on Wheels, local residents without their own charge point, businesses, car sharing initiatives – and anyone else who would like to reduce their transport costs and emissions.
